Living the Dream at Sarafina Dreams

Hi, I'm Janie. I started designing my own line and label 16 years ago. Lingerie has always been my passion from a very young age which turned into a career as I worked my way in the retail buyer world. Really, when I look back now it's amazing how that love accumulated into the dream very early and naturally.
I ran in the rat race for many, many years until I just couldn't take it anymore and one day just threw in the towel.
I never looked back but instead looked down at my sketch book and started to put my designs on paper.
My love of vintage lingerie gave me more insight into silhouettes, draping and my interest in textiles helped to meld it all together.
I went from sitting at my little sewing machine all day, every day to having to move the business out of the house and into a small studio and more recently into a little bit bigger space. Typically I work to launch two collections a year.

I find it so interesting the things that innately drive us. The natural passions seemingly built in. I can't remember a time when I didn't love lingerie but do remember every moment, every spark I've felt being around it. Living my passion every day, designing lingerie and watching as it unfolds into the blossomed piece is a total nod from the universe. Like dancing on the moon and watching the stars fly by....... MAGIC
